Meet Frankie

Hi, I'm Frankie and I know how it feels to be in your shoes.

In fact, I still am. Seventeen years of infertility has taught me a lot, most of it the hard way. WTF Fertility is everything I wish someone had handed me at the start of our journey. Honest, direct, and yes, occasionally sweary.

Why WTF Fertility exists

I built the thing I needed and couldn't find.

I'm not a doctor, or a therapist and I won't pretend to be either. What I have is seventeen years of infertility living rent free in my head, and a stubborn refusal to let all of it be for nothing.

Here's the honest version. We've had (yes we, my husband is in this with me for the long haul) one ectopic, two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy. Multiple rounds of IVF and more WTF moments than I can count. The kind that leave you sitting on the bedroom floor at 2am googling things you're terrified to read. We've had the appointments that go badly, the phone calls that change everything, and the well-meaning people who tell you to "have a holiday" or "don't think about it so much" as if you hadn't thought of that, or tried it already.

Through all of it, I kept looking for support that actually matched the reality of what we were going through. Not soft focus stock photos of women cradling bumps, or £200 coaching calls I just couldn't face. I wanted someone to be straight with us, fully explain the hard bits (sweary and all) and let us know exactly what the chances are and what happens at the inevitable "if", "but" or "maybe" decisions you end up facing and don't see coming.

But it didn't exist, so I made it. WTF Fertility is the support I wish we'd had, built from lived experience, not a pretty brochure with a woman hugging her bump (or, if you've bought yourself the "toxic positivity pass", she'll be holding her baby and everyone is smiling and gets their happy ever after).

I'm not removing hope from the equation, I wouldn't even still be walking this path if I didn't have hope, but I do think it's important to feel prepared in advance, and that is everything I'm aiming to do.

Everything here is self-paced and always available, because 3am panic doesn't respect office hours and neither should your support. There's no waiting list. There's no being put on hold. There's no one judging your questions, no matter how small or strange they feel.

And I'm not doing this alone. My husband has been beside me through every cycle, every result, every WTF moment, which is exactly why his perspective is woven through the work too. IVF doesn't happen to one person in isolation, and partners deserve honest support just as much.

Let's be clear

What WTF Fertility is, and what it isn't.

What it is

  • Self-paced and always available, day or night
  • Honest, direct, warm and occasionally sweary
  • Built on real lived experience of IVF and loss
  • Practical guides, journals and resources you'll actually use
  • Support for your partner too, because they're in it with you
  • Here whenever you need it, with no judgement and no pressure

What it isn't

  • 1:1 sessions or personal coaching calls
  • Medical or clinical advice (your clinic does that), or a replacement for your doctor, nurse or therapist
  • Toxic positivity, empty reassurance or "just relax" energy
  • A waiting list or an inbox that takes a fortnight
  • False hope, or false doom, dressed up as honesty
My take on it

What I believe about IVF support.

The Partner Hub

IVF doesn't just happen to one person.

My husband has been with me through every step, and his perspective is built right into the course through the Partner Hub. It's there to help partners understand what's happening, know what to say (and maybe what not to), and to feel less useless in the moments that matter. This is our story, and it might just be yours too.
